It’s taken a lot longer than he expected, but Neal Kitson’s professional soccer career is off to a stellar start.

Playing for the Rochester Rhinos of the USSF Division-2 Pro League, the Little Neck native has a 0.83 goals against average in six league matches, including a scoreless draw against the Austin Aztex Friday night at Marina Auto Stadium.

The former St. John’s standout is splitting time with veteran goalkeeper Scott Vallow, who has started nine league matches.
