The Cyclones had to wait two weeks to win this game, which was suspended early on Aug. 22 in the 12th inning due to rain. The Cyclones had just taken the lead, but Vermont had put a man on first and second with one out when the rains came.

The game was officially concluded last night in Coney Island, when closer Ryan Fraser recorded the last two outs.

It’s hard to remember what happened up in Vermont two weeks ago, but the Cyclones built a 5–2 lead, thanks to three runs in the third on Jeff Flagg’s dinger, and two in the fourth on a homer by Blake Forsythe and an RBI single by Darrell Ceciliani.
